Winner Announcement

for the 2025 Asian Young Investigator for Tuberculosis Research Award

The Asian Young Investigator for Tuberculosis Research Award was established in 2020 to acknowledge young and talented Asian researchers conducting promising work focused on tuberculosis (TB) and nontuberculosis mycobacteria (NTM) research.

This year, the Stop TB Partnership Korea accepted applications for the 2025 Asian Young Investigator for Tuberculosis Research Award by July 13, 2025. We appreciate all the applicants who submitted their applications with great interest in the Award.  

As a result of the Selection Process, we are pleased to inform you that this year’s winner has been selected as Dr Xichao Ou (China) following the selection criteria. Congratulations to Dr Xichao Ou!

In order to provide equal opportunities for researchers and activists of more diverse nationalities, the new screening criteria will be applied from next year.
